Old clothes, poetry, music and the beauty of the natural world inspire me to be present and yet transcend time at the same time. Every day in each moment we have the opportunity to create magic in myriad ways and for me clothing is such a deep part of that. What character do I feel today? What am I going to make and give to the world? An outfit in itself can be a work of art...I guess that is what is meant by style...how we collage together clothes out of how we feel emotionally and physically. It is magic really, the creation of a beautiful illusion that we present to the world that affects those around us. The ability to create is one of the greatest gifts we have as human beings, so in my small way I hope by offering wonderful clothes and old goods I can inspire those who come across my shop to dream their dreams and create their own magic.

Max and I did a recent interview for sound and color vibration...here it is!

A Gentle Scorpio with a Sag Moon.
I grew up in Houston, Texas and moved to LA at 18 where I was in a theater group called Theater Carnivale which was a cross between Vaudeville and Punk Rock. I made some films including a little art film called Desert in the Shape with music composed by an old love and dear friend John Frusciante.
I also make music with my alter ego Ic Explura called "The Diary of Ic Explura" and have made one album called "A Love Letter to the Transformer". I am currently about to make the follow up to that this summer.
I also lived in Amsterdam as well as a wonderful town in No Cal called Nevada City. I currently live in Boulder, Colorado with my beautiful man Maximilian. We have a garden and a cat named Kiki Pamplemousse Fontaine and we like to dig the animals and nature and play music and paint together.
I developed a love for clothes and style at an early age as my mom had a great sense of style and a love for old movies and vintage clothing as well. I have been dressing up and creating outfits for as long as I can remember...for myself, for the stage and film, as well as others.
And that's how it goes for me~
Enjoy my blog~ Enjoy your life~
